1. A written document summarizing the case for or against an investment, including market, product, team, risks, and expected returns. Investment memos force clarity inside venture firms and corporate development teams.

   In plain English: A written summary explaining why an investor should or should not make a deal.

   Example: "The associate circulated the investment memo before the partner discussion."
