1. The ideal expected flow through a system where inputs are valid, dependencies behave, and nothing unusual goes wrong. Teams often contrast it with edge cases and failure modes.

   In plain English: The normal ideal case where everything works as expected.

   Example: "The checkout works on the happy path, but refunds still break everything."
