1. Operating without enough visibility, instrumentation, or reliable feedback to know what is really happening. In engineering slang, flying blind is one of the clearest danger signs during incidents and risky launches.

   In plain English: Operating without enough visibility or reliable information.

   Example: "Without per-tenant metrics, the team was flying blind through the rollout and could not tell whether the issue was isolated or systemic."
