  1. The gradual growth of a product or system through too many features, options, and edge-case accommodations. In engineering slang, feature bloat is what happens when saying yes repeatedly makes everything harder to use and maintain.

    In plain English: Too many features making a product or system heavy and harder to use.

    Example: "The admin console suffered feature bloat until the simplest workflows were buried under options added for one-off enterprise requests."
