Feature Abuse

Definitions

1. The use of a legitimate product feature in a harmful or unintended way without necessarily exploiting a code bug. Feature abuse matters because a system can be working as designed technically while still enabling fraud, harassment, or security harm.

   In plain English: Using a normal product feature in a harmful way.

   Example: "The report wasn't about an injection flaw; it was feature abuse of the password reset flow to lock users out."
