Definitions

1. Electronic Health Record — a digital version of a patient's medical history maintained by healthcare providers. EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) are notoriously complex to integrate with, often using HL7 or FHIR standards.

   In plain English: A digital version of your medical chart that doctors and hospitals use — the software behind it is famously complicated to work with.

   Example: "Integrating with the hospital's EHR took six months, three compliance reviews, and a FHIR adapter we had to write from scratch."
