Domain Trust
Noun · Security & Infosec
Definitions
A configured relationship that allows identities from one domain or forest to be recognized and authorized in another. Domain trusts simplify administration, but if mismanaged they can also create large lateral-movement paths for attackers.
In plain English: A relationship that lets one domain accept identities from another.
Example: "The subsidiary trust turned a single compromise into a broader risk because the domain trust was too permissive."
