Domain Expert

Definitions

1. A person with deep knowledge of a specific business, technical, regulatory, or operational domain. In product and engineering culture, domain experts are often essential because many hard problems are really domain problems disguised as software problems.

   In plain English: Someone with deep expertise in a particular subject area.

   Example: "The project only started moving once a domain expert explained that the billing edge cases were policy-driven, not random data weirdness."
