1. Someone who provokes, nitpicks, or derails technical discussions for attention, conflict, or amusement rather than improvement. In engineering slang, the code troll is the person making reviews longer and better outcomes less likely.

   In plain English: A person who disrupts technical discussions or reviews in bad faith.

   Example: "The thread stopped being productive once the code troll arrived and turned a reasonable API debate into a fight about unrelated style choices."
