1. A piece of code, component, or person that seems to attract bugs and breakage unusually often. In engineering slang, calling something a bug magnet usually means it has enough complexity or fragility that problems keep clustering there.

   In plain English: Something that seems to attract bugs over and over.

   Example: "That payment adapter was a bug magnet because every new country rule and partner exception got patched into the same already-fragile module."
